Printer Configuration

In Applications - Utilities, select Manage Printing. Click Add Printer. Enter a name by which you'll refer to the printer, and optionally a location and description for your use.

In Device for (your printer), select Device: AppSocket/HP JetDirect and click Continue. In the Device URI: box, put socket://printer:9100 and click continue. Make = HP, and for Model/Driver select HP LaserJet 4100 MFP v.3010.107 Postscript (en) then click Add Printer. In the login box that pops up, enter the root username and password for your machine.
